Weston

Weston. There is something wonderfully grounded about this name. Something that feels like open sky and solid earth at the same time. Weston comes from Old English, and it goes all the way back to the Middle Ages. It was originally a place name, describing a settlement to the west. A western town. And there is something poetic about that origin. The west has always carried a sense of possibility. New horizons. The direction the sun sets in its most beautiful light. A place people moved toward when they were looking for something more. So when you carry the name Weston, you carry a little of that spirit with you. A sense of independence. Of your own direction. The name really found its footing in the 2000s, which means there is a whole generation of Westons out here, and the name has held its place ever since. In the world of football, Weston McKennie has made the name known on a global stage, representing his country with real pride and energy. People named Weston are often described as strong and independent. The kind of person who figures things out, who does not wait around to be told what to do, who shows up and gets on with it. The name is clean, it is confident, and it has just enough history in it to feel like it means something. Because it does.
