Wayne

Wayne. There's something solid and grounded about this name - and when you learn where it comes from, that makes complete sense.

Wayne has its roots in Old English, born back in the Middle Ages, and its original meaning is "wagon maker." Now, that might sound simple at first, but think about what a wagon maker actually was. They were the builders. The craftspeople. The ones who constructed the very thing that allowed communities to move, to carry their goods, to travel and survive. A wagon maker wasn't in the background - they were essential. Without them, nothing moved forward.

There's something quietly powerful in carrying a name that is rooted in skilled work and purpose.

And the people who have carried the name Wayne? They've done it proud. John Wayne - an icon of confidence and presence whose name became almost synonymous with a certain unshakeable strength. Wayne Gretzky, widely considered the greatest hockey player who ever lived. And Wayne Rooney, one of England's most celebrated footballers. These are people who showed up, worked hard, and left a mark.
