Anderson

Anderson. What a name to carry through the world.

This name comes from Scotland, rooted in the Scandinavian tradition, and it means exactly what it sounds like: son of Andrew. But not just any Andrew. The name Andrew itself comes from the Greek word for strength, for courage, for manhood at its finest. So when you carry the name Anderson, you are carrying a lineage of strength. That's not nothing. That's a lot.

The name first came into use in the 16th century, as families in Scotland began passing surnames down through generations, father to son, story to story. And while Anderson is relatively rare today, that rarity makes it even more special. You don't meet an Anderson every day.

You might know it from Anderson Cooper, one of the most recognized journalists in the world. Or Anderson Silva, a name synonymous with precision and discipline. Or Anderson Paak, whose artistry has touched millions. Three very different people, three very different gifts to the world, all sharing your name.

Internationally, the name lives on in forms like Andersen in Denmark, or Anders in Scandinavia. Different sounds, same soul.

And people named Anderson? They tend to carry themselves with quiet confidence. Strong, grounded, the kind of person others lean on without even fully realizing it.

If you celebrate a name day, mark November 30th on your calendar. That's your day.

Anderson. A name built from history, worn by greatness, and now, carried by you.
