Tara

Tara. What a name to carry through the world. It comes to us from ancient Ireland, rooted deep in Gaelic tradition, and it holds not one but two beautiful meanings. Tara means "star" - and it means "hill." Think about that for a moment. A star in the sky, and solid ground beneath your feet. Light and strength, all wrapped into one small, beautiful word. The Hill of Tara itself was the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland - a sacred place, a place of power, a place where history was made. So when someone calls your name, they are, in a way, calling out to something ancient and remarkable. Tara had its great moment of popularity in the 1970s, and it has stayed beautifully distinctive ever since. Not common, not ordinary - Tara stands apart, just like the hill it was named for. You might know the name from Gone with the Wind - the beloved plantation was called Tara, a place of deep roots and fierce belonging. And in the world of voice acting, Tara Strong has brought countless beloved characters to life - a name that truly performs on the world's stage. People named Tara are often described as strong, confident, and determined. The kind of person who knows where they stand and isn't afraid to stand there. And if you ever want to celebrate your name, mark August 4th in your calendar - that's Tara's name day. A day that belongs to you. Tara. Ancient as Ireland, bright as a star, and grounded as the earth itself. That's your name. And it suits you beautifully.
