Lauren

Lauren. Your name is wrapped in an image: the laurel crown, a symbol of victory. That’s where the meaning comes from, and it’s such a joyful one to carry. Lauren comes from France, with roots reaching into Latin. It’s the kind of name that has traveled across time, shaped by languages, and still feels warm and familiar today. It first became a given name in the 19th century, and from there it really caught the world’s attention, peaking in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. Even now, it’s still common, just a little less in the spotlight than it was. People can’t help noticing it, because Lauren’s name gives a sense of confidence and grace. And if you’ve ever met another Lauren as “Loren,” “Lorin,” or “Loran,” those variations feel phonetically distinct, like the same spirit wearing different outfits. When you hear “laurel,” think achievement. When you hear Lauren, think honor, strength, and the kind of brilliance that lasts. That’s your name.
