Kayla

Kayla. There is something quietly regal about that name. And it turns out, that's not a coincidence at all. Kayla comes from Yiddish, with its roots running deep into Hebrew. And its meaning? Crown. Just let that sit for a moment. Your name means crown. A symbol of dignity, of worth, of someone who carries themselves with a kind of quiet authority. The name first appeared in the 1960s, and by the 1990s it had become genuinely beloved - one of those names that felt both modern and timeless at once. In popular culture, Kayla Brady became a warm and enduring presence on the long-running show Days of Our Lives, bringing the name into living rooms across America for decades. And in the real world, Kaylas have truly lived up to that meaning. Kayla Harrison became an Olympic champion in judo - one of the most decorated American martial artists in history. Kayla Itsines built a global fitness movement that has inspired millions of women. Kayla Ewell brought charm and talent to screens both big and small. Women of strength, confidence, and purpose. All wearing the same crown you wear. American tradition describes Kaylas as confident people - grounded, innovative, and quietly strong. So if your name is Kayla, know that you were named for something ancient and meaningful. Something that, in every culture that has carried it, has always pointed upward. You were named for a crown. And it suits you.
